I was able to work around this by:<br /> <br />1) removing the report from the project <br /><br />2) Then from file menu I opened the report (RDL) and it displayed the contents of the report as XML markup. <br /><br />3) I then did a Save As and save the report to the project directory. <br /><br />4) Then I closed that window and added the report to the project. <br /><br />5) I double clicked the report to open it to design view then I updated the data source and then ran it. <br /><br />It worked like a champ. So you need to have the RDL files of SQL 2008 reports.<br /><br />With uninstalling and reinstalled Visual Studio 2008 you avoid tha tother RDL are changing there reference to SQL 2008 R2 schemas.<br /><br /><br />Gr. Have you uninstalled Visual Studio and reinstalled it with the version which is shipped with SQL 2008<br />I hope this will work. <br />Do not forget to restore you SQL 2008 reports.<br />Gr.
